This top social welfare charity are looking for a Major Donor Fundraiser to build and manage a portfolio of mid-level donors to maximise gift levels and ensure long term income for the charity.
The main duties of the role will include;
- Working alongside the fundraising department to meet agreed personal and team income targets and maximise all income opportunities
- Develop and manage relationships with major donors through face-to-face contact
- Ensure all fundraising databases are accurately maintained and utilised effectively
- Provide clear, effective briefings to senior volunteers and staff where appropriate so they can establish new major donors through their networks
- Assist with the writing and implementation of major donor development plans and proposals
- Contribute to the annual planning of the major donor team's priories and targets
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience;
- Experience working in fundraising or marketing, dealing with influential individuals
- IT literate with excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suit and database management experience
- Ability to identify the requirements of internal and external customers to ensure effective customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrable skills in tailoring messages/proposals to fit the needs of various audiences
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask in order to achieve desired results and use time and resources effectively
- Target driven, able to use own initiative and work effectively under own direction
