CILT – The National Centre for Languages

 

Are you interested in gaining some experience in information, research and library work?

 

Have you ever wondered what it is like working in educational charities?

 

If so, this specialist information and resources Library in central London is exactly right for you! CILT works to convince people of all ages, at all stages of learning and in all walks of life, of the benefits of learning and using more than one language. They do this by using their expertise as the National Centre for Languages to influence policy, spread best practice and to support the development of language professionals. Founded in 1966, CILT aims to be the UK's largest, most comprehensive and up-to-date source of information and resources for language teaching and learning at all levels and ages.

 

A small and friendly team will be there to provide support. Working hours are flexible and will be discussed before you start.

 

You should be IT literate, with good communication skills and an effective phone manner.

 

This role is unpaid, though we are able to make a contribution towards travel expenses up to the cost of a daily Zone 1 – 2 travel card.
