Our Private Medical client is a provider of the whole spectrum of Ophthalmic health care including diagnosis, treatment and surgery for refractive, cosmetic and general eye conditions on a day care treatment basis.
This is an ideal role for a Senior Manager with a flair for business development to join this private healthcare provider with state-of-the-art equipment within their hospitals and a world-class team of surgeons and care staff.
You will ensure all KPIs and quality standards are achieved, will provide leadership and strategic direction for the hospital in line with business goals, will establish and maintain clear and effective working relationships with all key stakeholders of the hospital, successfully manage the planning and delivery of all services.
You will promote and develop effective working relationships with all external partners, suppliers and service providers, will achieve financial targets, review and evaluate business activity, implement and deliver a business plan. Ensure customer satisfaction is monitored and see to improve all areas so that the highest standards are met, become a Registered Manager and ensure all compliance is met.
This post is responsible for overall accountability for customer satisfaction in the hospital, ensuring that others understand the importance of the customer at all times. Monitoring the level of customer service, ensuring that patient feedback is sought, identifying potential barriers to patient satisfaction and eliminate these.
You will be responsible for ensuring safe working conditions, allocation of staff, procurement, stock control, security of drugs, monitoring of work equipment. Designated responsibility for management of infection control policies and working procedures within the Hospital. Work closely with the corporate team, regularly review procedures, ensure robust systems are in place, co-ordinate and manage key research activity.
This role is also responsible for audit, compliance and continuous professional development following the QCQ Registered Manager guidelines, responsible for meeting financial targets of the hospital undertaking cost improvements, manage staffing and budgets, work with corporate sales and marketing team and monitor delivery and management of services, Service Quality and Governance, ensuring the hospital has a reputation for being a "Centre of Excellence" in patient care.
Qualifications and skills required
Management qualification preferably at degree or post-graduate level. Leadership training, evidence of ongoing professional development.
Communication skills in order to inform, influence and persuade people in relation to complex issues and ideas.
Demonstrate the ability and vision to make business decisions, inspire people, lead a team of varied professional levels, operate at both operational and managerial levels.
The Hospital Manager must have strong IT skills, good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Problem solving and analytical skills, facilitation and coaching skills.
Experience required
Significant experience of Operations Management and management of a large multidisciplinary team. Significant experience of budget and profit and loss management. Exposure to strategic decision making and leading on change, project management and business development.
Experience desirable
Understanding of Independent Healthcare regulations. CQC, national Minimum Standards.
Experience of writing, implementation and management of policies and procedures, investigation of complaints and Ophthalmic.
This role would suit someone with the ability to take responsibility and make decisions, has commitment to excellence, is flexible, pragmatic and positive, confident with senior colleagues and key suppliers.
