
Our client is a national healthcare charity with a base in Suffolk, seeking an experienced Healthcare Manager with a background within healthcare achieving and sustaining growth. One of the first charities to be set up nationwide in response to the HIV epidemic, has now been at the forefront of the fight against HIV.
The role would be ideal for a Healthcare Manager who has worked within the community, PCT or a large GP surgery who wishes to extend their duties and work for a well known charity.
Key areas.
To ensure that the charity is well established in Suffolk and to achieve service delivery targets across Suffolk, including activity, quality, change management and financial targets, produce reports both for funders and internal use.
To identify new income streams, develop proposals and negotiate with funders which will include PCTs and GP's.
To contribute towards establishing a forward strategy to develop the charity's services as a whole. Also to contribute to an overview of ways of achieving a potential development of local services outside of areas currently served.
To supervise and appraise staff, ensuring the development of the team based in Suffolk.
Work alongside other healthcare managers to establish an overall strategy, make a contribution to the national management of the organisation.
To contribute to ensuring a strong relationship with people using services and the maintenance and development of strong research.
Alongside Directors and other Healthcare Services Managers to contribute to ensuring close and effective working across the Directorate.
Act as a staff role model and to be responsible for the strategic and policy development of the SWISH service (providing information about sex, sexual health and relationships)
Skills & Experience
Previous Managerial experience within Healthcare - working alongside PCTs and GPs
MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience of delivering targets
Experience of working with funders, negotiating and implementing strategies
Experience of sexual health, chlamydia screening and HIV preferred
MUST be a care driver as this is a role within the communities of Suffolk.
MUST be articulate, good written and spoken English and report writing experience.
You must also be able to drive as the role requires you to work in several locations in Suffolk.
