
The successful candidate will have experience within gynaecology/women's' health and be Theatre trained. Ideally they will have some knowledge/understanding of the fertility industry and HFEA/CQC regulations.
Some of the main duties will include;
Scrubbing and circulating in the operating Theatre.
Admitting, discharging patients and escorting them to and from Reception to Recovery.
Ensuring that patients are comfortable following procedures.
Scanning patients in Theatre who are undergoing embryo transfer.
Ordering and maintaining level of drugs.
Charging accurately using the charge sheets after seeing patients.
Completing patients' treatment plans.
Answering the patient phone line - taking detailed messages for nurses and consultants and answering queries when appropriate.
Booking patient appointments for scans, blood tests, IUI procedures, egg collections and consultations.
Ensuring cleanliness of ultrasound probe, theatre and recovery areas, including bed making, restocking, reporting of any necessary maintenance and auditing quality of linen.
The successful candidate must;
be caring, sympathetic, approachable and immaculately presented,
have the ability to prioritise and deal with a hectic workload,
be able to work alone and also within a team,
project a professional attitude and provide a high level of patient care
have excellent written and spoken English skills.
