Working in a dynamic humanitarian NGO, dealing with communities devastated by the results of conflict, your role as Head of International Finance will be both varied and stimulating. Reporting to the Director of Finance you will be responsible for managing the international finance function on a day-to-day basis, taking full responsibility for the development of your team. The post holder will also be a member of the Operational Management Team, and have the opportunity to steer the direction of this international NGO on an operational level.
You will have overseas, post-qualification experience in a senior financial role within an international NGO. You will have knowledge of accounting within an international NGO structure, experience of the financial aspects of grant management from proposal to close-out, including audits, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, have staff management experience and a genuine interest in the humanitarian and non-commercial sector. A key part of the role will be ensuring the production of high quality financial information for internal and external requirements. You may be required to represent the organisation at a senior level, meeting with representatives from Donor Governments, institutions and companies to further our business objectives.
