
This learning disability charity is recruiting for a Grants Manager to generate income for the charity by working with a portfolio of grant giving organisations and by working on the identification and development of new income streams including the EU. The post holder will focus on funding streams giving between £50,000 and £1million.
The main duties of the post holder will include;
- To write and prepare applications for funding to an agreed portfolio of grant giving bodies
- Research funding programmes and identify and develop new income streams
- To ensure full accurate records of grant correspondence are all maintained
- Meet long term and annual income targets as agreed with the line manager
- Assist with the management of grant funded projects and support local fundraising activities the charity is involved with
- Provide line management support to the fundraising team when required
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience;
- Proven ability to generate substantial income from and experience of drafting applications for Lottery and statutory funders
- Clear understanding of the structure, criteria and process of Lottery and statutory funders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability of drafting applications
- Ability to manage a demanding workload with minimum supervision
- People management skills with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships both internally and externally
- Experience of producing financial reports and monitoring budgets
- Computer literate particularly Microsoft Word and Excel, knowledge of database management would be desirable
