This leading animal charity is recruiting for a Fundraising Manager on a 3 year fixed term contract. The post holder will be responsible for generating income on an annual basis, cultivating and managing a portfolio of corporate and trust donors. This role is based in West Sussex.
Overall responsibilities for this role include:
- Create an initial fundraising strategy to raise £300,000 over 3 years
- Manage a portfolio of 20-50 existing and new individuals, corporate and trust donors, with a view to sustaining long-term commitments
- To secure significant high net worth individuals and major grant making trusts and foundations
- Identify, develop and maintain relationships with existing and new major donors, trusts/ foundations and corporates
The successful candidate should have the following experience:
- Experience of developing relationships with existing and new donors
- Experience of using research sources and methods
- Ability to apply a broad range of broad range of skills to provide a high level of support to colleagues and an appropriate level of service to donors
- Experience of writing planning strategies, cases for support, funding proposals and feedback reports
