This leading international organisation is looking for a Development Manager to be responsible for leading the development of the charities major donor programme, creating fundraising appeals and campaigns to attract high level donor support. This post is available on a part time basis.
The main duties of the role will include;
- Plan and execute the major gift fundraising strategy to achieve income targets
- Secure and develop relationships with individual major donors maximising their potential to make high value donations and long term commitment
- Manage a programme of cultivation for current and potential major donors
- Ensure understanding and awareness of major donor fundraising is promoted at a high level throughout the organisation both internally and externally
- Monitor and Manage budgets in order to successfully deliver the income required
- Ensure databases are maintained and optimise their use for reporting and analysis
- Create innovative proposals and data to maximise income from major donors
-Undertake cross division initiatives and account management supporting links between major donors, trusts and corporate partnerships
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience;
- Proven success working in a major giving role securing six figure income
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the confidence and gravitas to work with all levels
- Creative with the ability to work with limited resources
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise own work load
- Excellent skills in relationship management, experience of mentoring and training staff would be desirable
- Experience in working all stages of major donor fundraising
