This leading international religious organisation is recruiting for a Community and Individuals Fundraising Officer to take responsibility for the charity's income generation through individuals, churches and community groups and to support members during their fundraising endeavours by providing resources and training.
The post holder will be required to participate in and contribute to the charity's spirituality. For this reason the post holder must be a practicing Christian (Occupational Requirement Equalities Act 2010)
The main duties of the role will include;
- Assist with the delivery of the fundraising strategy in order to recruit new supporters
- Use various marketing techniques in order to promote initiatives and increase income from churches, community groups and members
- To increase income from churches, community groups and members through managing key national fundraising campaigns using various media to promote the initiatives
- Develop and analyse fundraising propositions and approaches and report on effectiveness of these, campaigns and expenditure
- Manage key fundraising campaigns from concept to delivery
- Enable members to effectively fundraise by offering support and resources
- Ensure all databases are updated, maintained and used effectively
- Build strong relationships with donors and the most committed supporters
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience;
- Proven ability to project manage fundraising or marketing campaigns
- Experience of community fundraising from schools or community and church groups
- It literate with good working knowledge of MS Office and database management
- Creative writing skills with experience writing successful promotional materials
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to approach and present to all levels
- Ability to train, motivate and negotiate to achieve desired results both internally and externally
- Flexible attitude, willing to work weekends / stay overnight as required
- Committed to the Christian faith
