Working a as a Class room assistant you will be expected to deliver the following:
* Provide learning support for learner with learning difficulties to ensure they get the most out of the lessons
* Where necessary provide support for other members of the class who can't read or write
* Assist with classroom preparation before the lesson
* Liaise with ELT (ESOL) tutor before lessons to discuss the lesson plan and identify stages in the lesson where learners with a lower level of English will need extra support
* Be inventive with the materials provided by teacher and modify tasks and activities set for the group to a level suitable for the low level learners. These should ideally focus on literacy, for example, providing learners with a list of words and asking them to find them in the text.
* Help with assessment of learners' progress
* Help learners increase their confidence, self-esteem and independence
* Help learners with a lower level of English to work together to complete tasks in groups
* Help learners with a lower level of English to participate in group tasks with other members of the class

You must have some experience of working as a classroom assistant (ideally within an ESOL/ adult context) and be able to provide detailed examples of this kind of work.
