Staff and volunteers direct help and support by assisting the search and by providing the channels for people to make contact; from public sightings generated via media appeals to Runaway Helpline for young people and Message Home for missing adults.

This role would involve researching poster distribution contact with external agencies using internet and telephone, recording new/updated contact details on a poster distribution database, creating missing people posters and website appeals, assessing missing people case information, sending missing people posters to external agencies as appropriate per case and other administrative duties.

Formal qualification or previous experience is not necessary however the following skills are required: good telephone manner and communication skills, fluent and colloquial spoken and written English, computer literate and ability to understand general database functionality, ability to work under own initiative, strong internet research abilities and be friendly and approachable.

A shift of a minimum of fours hours every week would be preferred.  We currently require volunteers from 10am – 10pm, seven days a week.  Volunteers will gain maximum satisfaction by regular commitment over an extended period of time.
