Carers Break Scheme Administrator - Carers Network Westminster

A volunteer is required to assist the Carer Support Manager with the administration of the Carers Break Scheme. The scheme gives small grants to help Carers who wish to have a break from their caring role. Carers submit an application form to a monthly panel and an administrator is required to ensure the smooth running of the applications process.

The successful applicant will be required to come in two days a month (one week before the panel meeting, and one day in the week following the panel meeting) for a minimum of six months.

 

Duties will include checking application forms are complete, checking additional documentation is supplied with the application form and contacting Carers to get any missing information.  Booking a meeting room for monthly panel meetings and giving applications to the panel each month. Notify by letter unsuccessful applications detailing why the application has been turned down, updating the Carers Network Westminster database with decisions and filing of all Carers Break Scheme paperwork.

 

The successful applicant will be methodical with good attention to detail, have an excellent telephone manner, good written and spoken English and be familiar with and able to navigate databases.
