Once upon a time, in a shed…….

In 1974, musician and composer, Jo Collins, met Mary Ward, a teacher and director. With a shared belief in harnessing the creativity in everyone and anyone, they started a theatre company. In a chicken shed.

We are looking for a Building Administrator to join us on a voluntary basis for 2 months initially. The role is part time; minimum of 16 hours would be good but hours and days to be agreed. We would ideally like someone to start ASAP.

The main purpose of the job is to provide effective administration regarding the building for the Theatre Manager and Building Manager.

Duties to include:
- To create a filing structure and improve/maintain existing filing system and processes for all building repair, maintenance and building projects.
- To provide effective administrative communication between Chickenshed contractors and consultants.
- To deal with administrative duties for the building
- To attend meeting as required, take minutes and ensure actions are completed.
- To create task lists and ensure tasks are complete.
- To proactively arrange contractor visits.

In conjunction with the Building Manager ensure that site visits and subsequent reports are received and filed in a timely manner. Ensure that any matters arising from reports are brought to the attention of the Building and Theatre Managers.
- To assist the Building Manager with the recording of audits and checks as required.
- To update and administer a key audit
- To create and maintain a plan audit
- To assist with other aspects of the work of the Theatre management department as directed

For this role we would require:
Previous administrative experience
Be organised and efficient, with good written and verbal skills
Excellent computer skills e.g. word processing, mail merge, email, excel, internet
Ability to collate data and produce spreadsheets/data tables for monitoring and evaluation purposes
Work well as part of a team
Ability to communicate well with the various stakeholders

You will be working in the Theatre Management Department and will be responsible to the Theatre Manager
