This leading benevolent fund is looking for an Area Development Manager to cover London and the South East whose primary role will be to promote the charity across the region. The post-holder will be responsible for recruiting new donors and volunteers in line with the charity's strategy to ensure maximum support and income from existing supporters.
Within this position your main duties will be as follows:
- Manage and lead on donor recruitment campaigns, negotiating and forging relationships with senior personnel to enable access to related workplaces
- Create and deliver effective presentations in order to secure new donors and encourage increased contributions from existing donors
- Promote the charity through promoting participation in fundraising activities & initiatives as well as volunteering opportunities through workplace visits
- Raising the profile of the charity through the creation of marketing and publicity materials
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience of making presentations to various groups
- Previous experience working in a fundraising role would be desirable
- IT literate with good working knowledge of the Microsoft Officer package
- Strong networking skills with the ability to negotiate to achieve the desired result
- Self motivated and able to manage your own work load with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
