Chief Executive Jobs

The TPP Senior Appointments team have been placing Chief Executives and Directors into charities and not for profit organisations for over 15 years, including, international NGOs, professional membership bodies, as well as arts and educational non-profit organisations.

Responsibilities & duties for Chief Executives

The requirements for most executive jobs depend on the strategy of the organisation as to whether the preference is for a CEO with a strong outward facing, profile raising and income generating focus; an experienced expert in the specific area of work the organisation leads on; or a more generalist organisational manager who has a specialist senior management team (SMT).

Skills required for Chief Executives

CEOs or Executive Directors tend to have a background as Programmes/Services Directors or Fundraising/Marketing Directors, but other disciplines such as Finance or Business Management also make attractive candidates for a range of charity executive jobs. A Chief Executive job requires a mix of skills including strategic and managerial leadership and depending on size may be a very high profile, or a very broad role, or both!
